Before the installation, remove any hitch covers if equipped.

Refer to the owner’s manual for hitch cover removal.

Optional: wrap around the hitch tube with one layer of duct tape, to prevent rubbing of the hitch tube in the receiver, which could cause rust over time.

Slide in the hitch skid cover until the threaded holes are in the middle of the trailer safety chain hook up points.

Insert one provided bolt with a washer to each mounting block, as shown in the picture. Thread them into the mounting holes on each side.

Make sure that the rectangular blocks are installed longitudinally.

Torque down the bolts to 75 ft-lbs./101 Nm.
